About Tom Harley

As a highly ambitious and organized individual, I hold a 2:1 degree in International Development with Politics from the University of East Anglia, awarded in June 2024. My academic background has equipped me with a strong understanding of global socio-political and economic dynamics, alongside robust skills in statistical analysis and quantitative research. Throughout university, I demonstrated a strong work ethic by balancing full-time studies with progressive roles at the UEA Student Union, earning three promotions. These experiences reflect my ability to take on increasing responsibility while maintaining academic excellence. I also served as Welfare Officer for a student society, where I led a team and liaised with stakeholders—further developing my leadership and communication skills. Currently, I work at CFC Underwriting as a Distribution Assistant, where I contribute to the coordination and support of distribution activities across the business. I am passionate about the insurance industry and committed to continuous professional development, including pursuing a CII diploma to deepen my expertise in underwriting and the Lloyd’s market. I bring analytical acumen, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to every challenge.
