Sales & Product management, strategic marketing, underwriting and competitive analysis for the personal, life, retirement and supplemental insurance Horace Mann was founded in 1945 by two Springfield, Illinois, teachers who saw a need for quality, affordable auto insurance for teachers. Since then, we’ve broadened our mission to help all educators protect what they have today and prepare for a successful tomorrow. We’re motivated by the fact that educators take care of our children’s future, and we believe they deserve someone to look after theirs. Guided by this mission, we offer several solutions to help educators understand and manage their finances: We offer complimentary access to our Student Loan Solutions platform, an easy-to-use suite of resources, to help educators manage student loan debt and get guidance on the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. We provide free workshops on financial wellness and other topics of importance to educators, including state retirement systems. We also partner with DonorsChoose to provide teachers with access to classroom funding. Our product offerings address the needs of individual educators and school districts looking to provide a more comprehensive employee benefits package.
