About Tom Kuzma

As a fourth-year Electrical Engineering student at BCIT, I've developed a passion for Computer Vision, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, 3D CAD, and PCB Design. While my initial interest in Electrical Engineering was sparked by my love of playing bass and tinkering with amps and equipment, I've since discovered a whole world of exciting opportunities to explore.I thrive on learning new skills and collaborating with my peers to achieve our collective goal of graduating and launching successful careers. One of my proudest achievements was a personal project I undertook several years ago. I designed and built a portable radio transmitter that could synchronize hundreds of boomboxes together to create a mobile dance party. This idea proved so popular that I was able to host fun, inclusive dance parties in over 30 major cities across Canada and the U.S.A, earning recognition in major news outlets like WIRED magazine, NBC News, CBC News, and MacLean's.As I continue to pursue my studies, I'm excited to see where my passion for learning and my growing expertise in embedded programming and PCB design will take me next.
