About Tom Marling

In my early career, hospitality and front-line sales roles formed the foundation of my work; operating in high-volume environments where customer experience and commercial outcomes were directly linked.From there, my experience broadened across both B2C and B2B settings; customer-facing sales, new business development, and operational management. Working across these environments gave me a grounded view of how revenue is supported by daily operations, repeatable processes, and consistent execution.More recently, I’ve worked in senior sales and management roles within high-value residential property, leading sales teams in target-driven environments with long sales cycles and high customer expectations. These roles carry responsibility for team performance, revenue delivery, and day-to-day sales operations.Alongside my commercial roles, I’ve built hands-on experience with AI automation and agent-based systems. This led me to set up my own AI automation business (The ideal collective.ai), built for estate agencies to remove repetitive operational tasks and automate workflows such as inbound communication, lead qualification, feedback, updates, and appointment scheduling; allowing teams to spend more time on revenue-generating work.Overall, my work sits between commercial execution and AI automation, focused on improving how revenue-driven teams operate day to day.
