About Tom Maul

I design joyful and prosperous futures for people and organizations to live into. Proficient as an architect, my expanding interests cross the line from designing space + form, into responding to people and behaviors, and optimizing organizational processes and outcomes. I’m always asking, “how can we idealize behaviors with both form/space and information?” What do we need to learn? What do we need to change? What, and how, do we need to teach and communicate to realize our shared goals. In the workplace, I create conditions for people and organizations to bring the best to everything they do and make the world a better place. I have a strong sense of individual responsibility and entrepreneurial spirit, AND an acute awareness of the world around me. I have been described as a participant that “stretches” the group; bringing inquiry to the process, and calling timeouts often in the name of equity and inclusion. I am direct, honest, and loving. I am resilient under pressure. I have a heightened sense of fairness. I am attentive to both the detail and the bigger picture. It helps me to understand concept in order to execute. I apply pragmatism to professional standards. I bring life to data with heart and gut. We will thrive in a creative collaborative environment where ideas are freely shared. Discuss-to-understand is my mode of operation versus defending and arguing. Have patience while I verbally process. Tell me what you need to thrive; I have your back. Be open to “trying things on” and we will do great things. Should we want to get together, don't be surprised if it's running on dirt or skate skiing in the Methow. I am at my best in the morning.
