Background
About Tom McFadyen
Creative and passionate Gardener with formal training from the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh, and post-graduate training in Wildlife Biology & Conservation. After many years of sole gardening, I recently became First Gardener at Falkland Palace and Gardens in Fife. I look forward to working more with the brilliant team of gardener's and volunteers here, at what is such a unique and varied site. Personal interests include the sustainable cultivation of food, insect-plant biology, and provision of resources for wildlife in designed landscapes. I am deeply interested in ecosystem functions and look forward to helping describe and promote the biodiversity of the Palace gardens, orchard meadow and local area.
