About Tom McKenna

I am the Sustainable Finance Lead at Jersey Finance Limited, joining the business in April 2023. A key aspect of my role is helping Jersey achieve its 2030 vision, which is that by 2030 Jersey will be recognised by its clients, key stakeholders and other partners as the leading sustainable international finance centre in the market it services. I originated the concept for the Greening Jersey initiative (which involves the collaboration of Jersey Finance members to support nature restoration, and chiefly rewilding, across Jersey), I played a leading role in establishing it and sit on the Greening Jersey committee. I am a co-founder of the Future Sustainable Finance Leader group (whose purpose is to deliver awareness, education and training to future leaders of Jersey’s financial service industry in sustainable finance, and creating a network to help empower the future leaders working towards Jersey’s 2030 Vision). I have over 19 year’s experience in Jersey finance industry, having worked as an Associate Director at Zedra before joining Jersey Finance and, prior to that, at EFG. In my role at Zedra, I drove the creation of, and was Chairperson of, their Global Green Team.I am an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly known as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), having been admitted to graduateship in 2016 and also studied at the University of Chester where I graduated with a BA Hons and MSc.
