About Tom McMillen

Tom McMillen is a veteran of the food industry. Over his 30 + year career, he has amassed diverse experience as a buyer, a broker, and a manufacturer, providing him unique insight and expertise at every level of the meats process. Tom began in the industry as a territory manager for Sara Lee Foods, then a Fortune 50 company, before becoming a broker for RBI Sales and Marketing. However, Tom spent a bulk of his career as a buyer for Sherwood Food Distribution, identifying the best items for the needs of the customers and working diligently to expand the customer base. In his 20 years with the company, he grew the deli and processed meats category from 30 items to more than 1500. Inspired by the exceptional customer service and quality product from Beef International that he had experienced as a buyer, Tom joined the company in May 2016 as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He recently spearheaded the company’s rebrand to B.I. Foods, and introduced the company’s first trademarked product line. Tom graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. Tom enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He is also dedicated to serving his faith and guiding others as a leader in his church.
