Production Manager at Ordnance Survey, the national mapping agency of Great Britain. Currently found leading a team of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire based Field Surveyors in the delivery of operational production of geospatial data, using ESRI and GeoMedia GIS to analyse team workloads, create delivery plans, provide support and direction, and ensure quality targets are met. Part of the Health and Safety team, supporting the postive safety culture that is in place to protect all employees whilst engaged in our work activities. Previously, an experienced GIS Land Surveyor, who updated Ordnance Survey's geospatial datasets, using Real Time Kinematic rovers, total stations, graphic techniques and ESRI GIS to update data to reflect the changing landscape and built environment of the UK. Gained an (unfair?) reputation as a fair weather surveyor, due to seeking extra responsibilities and additional roles as a Quality Controller, in managing Data Specification queries, and, as a trainer; creating and delivering training courses and best practice sessions. Often involved in additional projects; testing new equipment and processes and managing the quality feedback inbox for key stakeholders. Additional prior experience in messing around with GIS, mapping and legal deed examination as a surveyor and legal caseworker at HM Land Registry, the non-ministerial department providing the register of information about ownership of, and interests affecting, land and property in England and Wales.
