About Tom Newman

With over 15 years of experience in project and transformation management, I have a passion for delivering innovative and impactful solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of public sector services. I have a strong background in process improvement, mentoring, and project delivery, as well as a Lean Certification. I am currently working as a Project Manager at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, where I am working on the ADAPT+ Programme to optimise our EPR and develop new technologies. In my current role, I am responsible for the delivery of the Integrated Health and Care Platform which is an OpenEHR solution to enhance the Trusts EPR providing additional functionality to staff and people who use our services. I am involved in the development of contracts with agencies and management of the programme budget. Additionally. I enjoy combining my professional skills and personal interests to create positive outcomes for the people I work with. Prior to this I have worked across a range of public sector organisations including 11 years with Essex Police in project management working on force wide change projects such the Management of Police Information and large scale operations. During this role I was awarded two Chief Constable Commendations; for my project management of a large scale public order operation and the second one for my work on the 2012 Olympics running the logistics operation.
