About Tom Overby

I have been a member of the Edward Jones family for several years, first as a client and now as a financial advisor. After 28 years in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, I came to the realization that there were specific elements of my career that truly motivated me. Helping others improve their lives and the lives of those close to them was, and is, a core value of mine. Combining that with a lifelong passion for investing led me to Edward Jones. As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe I have the unique opportunity to draw upon the skills and experiences that I have acquired over the past three decades to gain a true understanding of each client and their specific needs. That understanding, combined with ongoing dialogue, forms the basis of a partnership that helps people achieve their long-term goals. People that want to carefully and thoughtfully work toward their financial goals are ideal clients for me. I take an individualized approach to understanding client goals such as retirement, education and estate considerations. I then use an established process to develop a plan that is customized to help them achieve those goals. No two scenarios are the same, and neither are the strategies to achieving those goals. On a personal note, my wife, Kaye, and I live in Vermillion and we have two children. I have always a had strong passion for sports, from playing various sports in my youth to volunteer coaching for various youth sports organizations over the past several years.
