About Tom Owen

I’m a passionate events and community professional with a unique cross-industry background spanning live music, creative arts, and hospitality. During my MA in Music Business at BIMM London, I co-founded Gigsperience, a grassroots events company that gave me the opportunity to curate and promote gigs across London for emerging artists, from nights at Camden Assembly, Half Moon Putney, and Bush Hall to our final project: a full-day independent music festival. In my role as a Community Associate at WeWork, I manage a mix of operational, creative, and community-focused responsibilities. I lead in-building events, build community through engaging programming, and handle operational and admin responsibilities. I also support account management and lead small-scale projects, from improving member experience to resolving day-to-day building issues. Outside of work, I run my own music blog where I focus on emerging and independent artists. It’s a space for me to stay engaged with new music, develop my writing voice, and champion new talent.
