About Tom Parker
I am researching methods of modelling and measuring the electronic characteristics of electrode materials for use in photovoltaic applications, particularly the properties of grain boundaries and crystallites. These include inorganic semiconductors and ultra-thin metals. For more detail see my University webpage where I go into a bit more a member of the ReNU (Renewable Energy North-East Universities) Centre of Doctoral Training, I am funded by the Engineering and Physics Sciences Research Council. My thanks to both ReNU and the EPSRC for this opportunity. As part of this role I also demonstrate in programming classes and workshops for undergraduates, teaching Matlab, C and Arduino Programming.I am also delighted to take up the role of Musical Director at University College, Durham University, for the academic year 2022-2023. I will be conducting the College's Chapel Choir for weekly Evensong and Eucharist in the College's historic Tunstall and Norman Chapels, a part-time position that complements my current work as a PhD Student.
