About Tom Pernice

Tom Pernice Jr. is a professional golfer on the PGA TOUR Champions and a dedicated philanthropist. His PGA TOUR career includes a pair of victories spanned over two decades. He joined the PGA TOUR Champions upon turning 50 in 2009. Success was immediate as he became just the 15th player to win a PGA TOUR Champions event in his debut, triumphing at the SAS Championship near Raleigh. Went on to win three more times, including twice during the 2014 season. His biggest victory was the season-ender that year, the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. Fully understanding golf’s tremendous impact on business coupled with integrity, past experiences, leadership qualities, and endurance makes him a sought-after keynote speaker. As a philanthropist, Pernice freely donates his time and earnings to endeavors supporting kids in need. Dedicated to a plethora of outlets including golf clinics for the underprivileged youth, supporting local golf teams and sponsoring the education of a local golfer in need. Through humanitarian efforts, he raises awareness for national and local charities, helps grieving families, and supports research needed to provide the gift of sight. Passion for this particular cause derives from his younger daughter Brooke, who has a rare genetic eye disease, Leber’s Congenital Amorosis, which causes blindness. Tom Pernice Jr. was born in Kansas City, Mo, and graduated from UCLA in 1981 with a degree in Economics. A two-time All-American and PAC-10 Player of the Year in 1981, he turned professional in 1982. He is the proud father of two beautiful, successful daughters: Kristen & Brooke.
