A Partner in the Australian Strategy, Risk and Transactions practice, Tom has 15+ years of Governance and Risk transformation experience since joining Deloitte in 2009. Tom has depth of experience in the Healthcare, Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Mining, Energy and Construction industries. His expertise is in: 1) Developing and implementing governance and compliance frameworks (management systems) that simplify business rules and align with the Operating Models of large, complex organisations 2) Building assurance / 3LoD models that provide better value for your assurance dollar 3) Establishing Risk Functions that make an impact at both a strategic and tactical (with focus) level His approach prioritises developing business capability and changing employee behaviour over developing corporate policy and processes, a more effective approach to deliver sustainable value. Tom has been a leader of Deloitte’s Corporate Responsibility program in the UK and in Western Australia. In the UK, he received the firm’s ‘Leaders in Society’ awards in consecutive years for leading the program.
