In all roles I've taken on, my focus has been on strategic leadership, fostering an environment that encourages growth and learning, and driving excellence in educational outcomes. I have leveraged data analytics to assess and improve student learning outcomes, significantly enhancing the overall quality of education and facilitating informed decision-making. In my position as Coordinator of Academic Programs, I spearheaded the design and implementation of a systematic learning goal assessment, and expertly managed the complex task of creating our semesterly 90+ section course schedule. Throughout my tenure, I've been the "go-to problem-solver", effectively handling challenges and turning them into opportunities for improvement. My work has encompassed everything from overseeing advising and writing reports for external programmatic review, to serving in critical university-wide leadership roles. As the Faculty Convener, Co-Chair of the university's Commission on Inclusive Excellence, and Vice Chair of the university's Council on Students & Academic Standards, I have consistently advocated for diversity, inclusivity, and excellence in academic standards. As a scholar, my focus on theatre and performance, particularly Disney theme parks, has led to well-received publications. My book,'Performance and the Disney Theme Park Experience: The Tourist as Actor', co-edited with Dr. Jennifer A. Kokai, was published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2019 and has gained notable recognition in the field. I am currently engaged in several follow-up writing projects, continually contributing to the discourse in the field. Beyond academia, my extensive experience as a stage director for both plays and musicals has honed my leadership and team-building skills. In this creative environment, I've led large teams of artists in bringing their visions to life, always prioritizing effective communication, collaboration, and the creation of a unified, captivating experience for audiences. I am now excited to bring these experiences and my commitment to excellence, innovation, and strategic growth into new challenges and opportunities.
