Started out in the retail industry back in 2002 with Filene's. I was a PT seasonal hire in the Home Store but stayed on after the holidays after which I was promoted to Selling floor lead over Women's Shoes. Established a trend of positive comp sales month after month- Moved to NH in 2004 and worked at Macy's as a jewelry professional, also utilized as a peer mentor- Joined Olympia Sports in 2005 as a Manager Trainee. Completed Manager Trainee Program in 2007 with Olympia Sports, Managed small volume stores thereafter. Had success in controlling expenses, meeting shrink goals, developing talent internally. Considered a candidate for future role(s) as a Buyer or District Manager. Attended Buying seminar outside Boston at the recommendation of colleagues-Moved to Tennessee in 2011 and started work with Belk. After a very brief stint as an associate I was promoted to a Sales Manager position. At one point or another I managed the Men's, Home Store, Today's Woman, Ladies RTW, Cosmetics, Fine Jewelry-Success with driving credit results, led teams to achieve monthly goals with rewards given from GE Money (Syncrony) for meeting or exceeding credit stretch goals-Highest volume managed was 7M in 2016, and had a team of 40 direct reports as Cosmetics Manager in 2013-Started work for Dick's Sporting Goods in the Fall of 2016 since then I've had several titles Sales Support, Hardlines, Merchandise Manager. Currently the Operations Manager-Been the Shrink Coach since Fall 2017 which includes acting as LP liaison. Promote and discuss all LP communication topics with teammates. Ensure the store stays properly protected against LP threats-My teams while at Dicks have had success with meeting customer satisfaction goals monthly and quarterly. We've also promoted from within with great success.
