About Tom Sandy

As Director of Compliance Group Services, Tom is responsible for overseeing the compliance and market surveillance functions at ErisX. ErisX is integrating digital asset products and technology into reliable, compliant, and robust capital markets workflows. With a regulated, liquid and accessible offering, ErisX will enhance the digital asset space for institutional and retail traders alike. Before ErisX, Tom was an Advisory Board Member of Bovill USA, focusing on the derivatives and futures markets. Bovill is an independent, specialist financial services regulatory consultancy with a global offering. Prior to Bovill, Tom was a Principal and held the positions of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of a Commodity Trading Advisor firm and an Introducing Broker firm, as well as a European based Introducing Broker, where he was the designated CF10. Tom also had a long tenure with CME Group, holding several roles covering operations, product development, business development, with the majority as a Director of Market Regulation. Tom has a depth of knowledge and experience with and advises his clients through the labyrinth of CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission), NFA (National Futures Association), and related Exchange Rules, Regulations and obligations. Tom recently sat on the Executive Board of Directors of NIBA - The Association for Derivatives Professionals, and served on several Advisory Committees at both the National Futures Association’s (NFA), as well as the Illinois Institute of Technology, and holds associate memberships with the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Tom also holds a Series 3 license and was a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Tom earned a Master of Science Degree in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Illinois University.
