About Tom Schripsema

We are all driven by something different. For some it's competition, flexibility, accolades, financial rewards, community stature, excitement of the markets, or technology. For me, the source of my drive came into focus recently, when I opened my third office in Texas corners. At the grand opening, I saw all the faces looking back at me, and I realized that being a Financial Advisor is one of the only professions, where I get to live with, participate in, and positively affect someone through the entire arc of their lives. It's those special relationships and their family's success that motivates me. A proud Kalamazoo native, I joined Edward Jones 20 years ago as a Financial Advisor. In I earned a degree in economics and business administration from Hope College. Shortly after that, I opened our firm's second office in Portage. I received the AAMS® professional designation in 2005, opened my second office in Moorsbridge in 2007, the third branch in Portage, and become a limited partner at Edward Jones in 2011. In 2014, I was blessed in finding my senior branch office administrator, Martha Ireland. She has 13 years of financial experience and is invaluable to our clients, a tremendous partner and friend. Many have enjoyed witnessing our teamwork and relentless pursuit of solutions for our clients. Together, we opened the Texas Corners branch in 2018. Beyond work my family is my passion. I have a supportive wife, Heather, and three sons: Brody, 14; Gideon, 13; and a two-year-old, J.T. Brody plays hockey, Gideon has an insatiable love of nature, and J.T. is healthy and loves to smile and explore the world. We enjoy lake life, boating and sailing. Thank you for your interest.
