About Tom Sharony

I am an expert in sensor characterisation, passionate about navigation. By using physics, the goal of my expertise is to understand how to real world interacts with the electronic world. I have the key role of a translator. I use electronics to optimise and format the measured signals, mathematics and computer science to process, transmit and supply the collected data. My specialty has a unique main stream. I use physics in order to translate the physical phenomena into a digital language. Then, I use signal and image acquisition and processing to process the collected data. Finally, I use statistical data analysis and modelling to analyse it. My professional experience gave me vast and various strong skills: precise measurement by using lasers, magnetometers and environmental chambers; statistical data analysis by using MATLAB, Python, and Excel; data acquisition; data processing; instrumentation; constitute a non-exhausted list of them. Working in team with people from different backgrounds is my daily life. My knowledge of languages, as I speak Hebrew, English, French, German and Chinese and am also currently learning Portuguese and French Sign Language, facilitates good communication and cooperation. Last but not least, it allows me to integrate and adapt very easily and quickly. Indeed, during my academic and professional experience only, I had the chance to live at least six months in four different countries: France, China, Switzerland and Ireland. International mobility became a whole part of my identity. I am always delighted to make acquaintance with new people and exchange life experience! So, do not hesitate to contact me!
