About Tom Snell

Hello to all of whom I have intrigued so far! My name is Tom Snell and I will be finished Culinary Management at Fleming College as of April 18th, 2019!I have learned so much in the past 16 months here & I certainly plan on making a career out of my new culinary training. Down the road i would like to see myself managing my own Catering business AND/OR restaurant, but before i get any of that started, I'm looking to earn full-time cooking experience, preferably institutional or fine-dining, but any opportunity would be fantastic! Most of the jobs I've worked since 2007 have been kitchen related. I starting out as a dishwasher at Lodges & Resorts and moved up the chain to Food Prep and Basic Cooking ("Hot Apps") like deep-frying fries and wings, as well as preparing quesadillas & pizzas. As of 2016 i started as a cook at KFC and have thoroughly enjoyed working with the chicken, tenders & gravy. I then worked at Riverview Manor (first in placement as cook, then as part-time work as dietary aide to help me get through school). I have goals of traveling the world with many, many hot spots to visit and add to my collection of experiences. I have so far traveled to 12 different countries in my life, and I plan on seeing just about all of them before I'm done! I dream of working internationally in tropical regions of the world.
