About Tom Sorensen
I've spent the last 30 plus years in the HVAC industry working in commercial, Industrial and residential arenas. The last 7 years have been primarily focused on the residential and light commercial end. in 2006 I was one of the original graduating class of BPI technicians for the State of Oregon. That one certification caused the most enormous change in the way I approach a building. Instead of looking at the HVAC system as a primary focus for building comfort and health, I now recognize it as a single component of an entire system and design accordingly. My goal is to move forward in the industry with a commitment to maximizing comfort and health with minimized energy consumption and global footprint. To help further that commitment, I've started Evergreen Building Systems with my partner Ryan Clemmer. The time has come to have 100% control over the initial design and the quality of the installation and commissioning. This just hasn't been possible working for other people.
