About Tom Stammers

I’ve been building and shaping digital products since the moment I first picked up a controller—starting with Super Mario Bros. on the NES at five years old. That early curiosity turned into a career defined by learning fast, adapting constantly, and solving complex digital problems.Today, as a Senior Digital Specialist, I sit at the intersection of technology, product, and delivery. I bring a strong “jack-of-all-trades” mindset—comfortable zooming out to define strategy, and zooming in to understand systems, architecture, and delivery constraints. I don’t believe in “I don’t know”—only “I don’t know yet”.I’m particularly strong at translating business and customer needs into scalable, secure digital solutions, working closely with product owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver outcomes rather than just features. I thrive in environments where complexity, legacy systems, and change are the norm.My experience spans agile delivery, cloud platforms, system architecture, and governance, with a consistent focus on improving reliability, scalability, and customer value.Core Strengths:Product, Delivery & GovernanceAgile & Scrum deliveryCross-functional collaborationProject & delivery managementSecurity, policy creation & GDPR complianceStakeholder management & prioritisationTechnical & Platform Experience:Backend & frontend development (PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)Databases: MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle, SQLiteCMS & frameworks: WordPress, Drupal, Magento, MVCCaching & performance: Redis, Memcache, APCInfrastructure & servers: Apache, IIS, NginxCloud (AWS): EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, Elastic Beanstalk (Docker)Analytics, SEO & performance optimisation
