Tom Sutherland has devoted his 32-year career to the representation of commercial real estate tenants through his unique ability to formulate complex real estate solutions for law firms, corporate headquarters, large build-to-suit projects, and strategic portfolio management. Through decades of relationships built on the foundation of trust, Mr. Sutherland has represented office and industrial occupiers in Canada, Europe, and every major U.S. market totaling over 40 million square feet of real estate transactions. ​ Recognized repeatedly by Dallas Business Journal, D CEO, CoStar, Crains Chicago Business, Bisnow, and The Wall Street Journal as one of the top brokerage professionals in the industry. Mr. Sutherland has successfully represented some of the nation’s highest-profile clients bringing an inimitable value-added perspective to his lease negotiations. He has a deep knowledge of the legal sector’s evolving trends and unique space needs and advises many of the leading law firms globally on their occupancy strategies.​ A creative dealmaker and skilled consensus-builder, Mr. Sutherland has extensive experience representing some of the world’s most respected legal, financial, and consulting firms including Holland & Knight, IBM, First American Corp, Atmos Energy, and Mary Kay. ​ Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, he was an Executive Vice President at Colliers International. Subsequently, Mr. Sutherland owned a successful brokerage firm, CASE Commercial Real Estate, headquartered in Texas, with offices in Fort Worth, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio (sold to Colliers in 2015). ​
