About Tom Walden
I have always been interested in all aspects of technology, ever since I was a young child, and I first started coding when I was still at primary school! I am an inquisitive and a quick learner, with a thirst to understand how processes (and the world) work and how to make them better. Throughout my education, I was driven to teach myself new skills, including Python, PHP, C and Linux. Since 2013, I have been working as a Data Engineer, delivering new products based on large datasets and expanding my knowedge of the computing and data worlds. I have worked with ETL and relational databases, matching and stream processing, and used these skills on the largest B2B analytics and marketing database in the UK.Going forward, I see myself continuing to improve my coding and data analyzing abilities and also improving my skills outside the workplace. For example, currently I am working on learning graph databases and Haskell. I hope that I can develop my career and build upon my interests in the data and business IT spheres.
