Tom has served as a data analytics problem-solver and entrepreneur since.com boom. He has numerous patents in the areas of social influence tracking and real time data analytics. His style is to find creative strategies by simplifying complicated processes. Tom's early experience began with database design for package tracking applications of several major wholesale distributors, including McKesson, Staples, and Office Depot. In 2002, Tom joined Advanous, a startup which focused on optimizing the sales margins of these very same distribution companies. In Tom's role there as Chief Database Architect, he led the development of a price optimization platform which has generated well over one hundred million dollars in revenue lift for numerous Fortune 100 and 500 companies. In 2006, Tom started at Myspace, most recently serving as Director of Data Insights. In this role, Tom led the R&D team which functioned as internal entrepreneurs and resulted in a real-time, user facing, analytics platform able to handle billions of transactions per day. With this platform, the team was able to conceive of and drive user facing features that centered around real-time data analytics and social influence tracking. In addition to Tom's data analytics accomplishments, he co-founded and co-owns three successful medical spas in Los Angeles, and owns a restaurant and bar in Calabasas. Tom's personal achievements include completing marathons and half marathons every few months, rescuing two Doberman Pinschers, surfing, and scuba diving in his free time.
