Musician, author, entertainment industry entrepreneur and educator, Tom Willett, brings a lifetime of experience to helping artists and music business executives discover and develop their creativity in both their professional and personal lives. Having worked as a touring musician, songwriter, producer, booking agent, artist manager, A&R executive, marketing VP, Willett has been involved in the creation and marketing of more than 300 award-winning records. His work has been cited in Billboard, Rolling Stone, the L.A. Times & Entertainment Weekly, and he has published dozens of articles encouraging excellence in music making and marketing. As the co-founder of the Contemporary Music Center on Martha's Vineyard (the nation’s only artists’ colony for contemporary musicians) he helped train and develop more than up-and-coming artists and executives. Now serving as President at Dark Horse Institute in Franklin, TN, Willett continues to invest in developing artists and aspiring music industry executives. Willett has written five books including Van Gogh to Go, a 3-volume series presenting the artist’s most evocative quotes about art, work and spirituality paired with carefully-chosen paintings. With his father, the late Dr. F. Douglas Prillaman, Willett co-wrote Stroke: The Road to Recovery and Understanding Stroke: A Guide to Medical Terminology.
