About Tomas Aneer

I am currently working as a method engineer at Etteplan – an engineering consultancy company. I develop and write repair and service methods, currently for Husqvarna and SKF. I write workshop and user manuals. I have worked as a Technical Information Specialist at Volvo trucks. I was writing comprehensive technical information about components and systems. My main area was electric and electronic systems. I have also worked as a Senior Technical Editor at Volvo Bus Corporation. Apart from my regular duties as a Senior Technical editor I made a pre- study of Customer Adaptations – low volumes of specially ordered buses. Prior to this I was working at Volvo Aero (GKN). Part of my responsibilities was to move some of the operations to Volvo Aero India, Bangalore. I was responsible for the training of technical writers, development of training material, instructions and reference documents. I have worked in Zimbabwe for several years. My duties there included management of Timberhope – a company that produced roofing timber and panel doors. As a cameraman I traveled in Europe, Kenya and South Africa. I have an Engineering degree (BEng) from Middlesex University. I have completed vocational training as a Technical Writer and illustrator. Due to my experience in various technical fields I have a good foundation for working with and presenting technical information. By working in small companies and in different countries I am used to quickly acquire an overall picture and to complete a project from start to finish. From 1994 to 2010 I have mainly lived in the U.K. and Zimbabwe.
