Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging (DITI) also known as thermography is FDA approved, medical grade, non-invasive and a sedation-free technique. In veterinary applications DITI is used for early diagnosing of functional problems such as lameness, referred pain syndrome, injuries or the physiological process before a tumor grows. Functional problems are obscure to the standard tests (X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan or MRI) because they are designed to look for existing structural changes like fractures or sizable masses. This makes DITI a valuable adjunctive screening method with significant advantages and benefits.
