About Tomas Guidolin

Powerline Technician with 17 years of high voltage maintenance and distribution linework experience, holding a 434A Red Seal certificate of qualifications. My field experience covers all aspects of overhead and underground power distribution work. This includes new pole line construction and rebuilds, high voltage cable terminating, system maintenance and troubleshooting, storm restoration as well as substation maintenance and refurbishment work. I personally believe in taking a proactive approach to my work so I can be as effective and efficient as possible. Safety is always a top priority for me in any task that I undertake. I take this serious approach to safety so I am able to go home to my family and fully enjoy my life outside of work. I also hold this expectation of my colleagues whenever working in a collaborative environment.I am a strong believer in all trades, no matter the industry and always take the time to appreciate craftsmanship in whatever form it takes. I have had the opportunity to work as a temporary instructor at the MEARIE/Hydro One skills center in Kleinburg Ontario. It was an experience that not only challenged my theoretical understanding of the line trade but personally challenged me in ways that provided the opportunity to grow and develop new skills which is something I seek out whenever possible.I am always open to exploring and discussing new opportunities to continue my path of personal and professional growth. With the ever expanding demand for electricity and renewable sources of generation needed to help with that demand, the renewable sector is area that I am very interested in exploring employment opportunities in.
