My career began immediately after completing high school, with an opportunity at one of the largest Czech companies specializing in IT tenders. Early on, I recognized that my potential wasn’t being fully utilized, which motivated me to seek out more engaging opportunities. I was then offered a position with IBM as an IT Technician and Monitoring Console Administrator. While the role itself didn’t require advanced technical expertise, it provided me with a broad understanding of corporate IT infrastructure. This experience became an invaluable starting point, allowing me to work with a wide range of technologies at a foundational level. It didn’t take long for me to identify SAP as the area that piqued my interest the most. As a technician, I was fascinated by the diverse set of skills required to manage SAP - working with different operating systems, databases, versions, and even networking aspects. This sparked my decision to deepen my knowledge of SAP. I soon had the opportunity to join the SAP Basis team, despite my limited experience at the time. Being the youngest member of the team at 21 was a challenge, but the collaborative environment fostered continuous learning. Within a year, I progressed from managing kernel upgrades, client copies, database refreshes, and DB2/Oracle configurations, to handling SPS upgrades and taking on the role of SAP Basis focal point for my own customers. This responsibility was a defining moment in my career, as it required me to work autonomously and take full ownership of outcomes - success or failure. It pushed me to expand my knowledge and deliver the highest standard of service to my clients. Customer satisfaction has always been a priority for me, and I consistently go above and beyond to ensure exceptional results, even when it means stepping outside my defined responsibilities. This commitment has played a key role in my professional growth and current success. I take great pride in sharing knowledge with colleagues and am always available to offer support to those around me. While I am used to working independently, I thrive in collaborative, knowledge-sharing environments where I can both contribute and learn from others.
