About Tomas Keech

I am a highly experienced finance professional with over a decade of experience in the field. I am now seeking to transition into the field of Cyber Security, having recently passed the eLearningSecurity Junior Penetration Tester exam. I am actively studying for the PNPT syllabus with the goal of sitting for the exam in April. I am well-versed in the use of Linux and its command line interface, with a strong background in participating in CTFs on platforms such as TryHackMe, HackTheBox, and Offsec Proving Grounds. This has allowed me to develop a solid understanding of commonly-used cybersecurity tools and the ability to think creatively when solving challenges. I maintain a home lab that includes a NAS running TrueNas Core and an Ubuntu Server, which I use for self-hosted applications and to practice exploits and create sandbox environments. In addition, I have a managed switch that sits between my servers and main PC, which has helped me gain a deeper understanding of basic networking concepts. I am committed to staying current in the field of Cyber Security and regularly follow industry news and blogs to learn new techniques. I also run a website with a friend that serves as a collection of notes and resources from various CTFs and learning programs. Additionally, I have a Github repository where I have published several tools that I have developed to automate the enumeration process for CTF challenges.
