About Tomas Kern

I started my career in automotive in 1994, with the responsibility to manage PPAP process for internal produced metal parts and build a Supplier Management System for VW Group Suppliers delivering to Skoda, to implement the relevant standards and to drive the quality of incoming goods. In almost six years of activities, thanks to our great team, we have managed to face all of these challenges with success! My career continued in at Tier 1 suppliers delivering products to different OEMs like Audi, Porsche, VW, Skoda, BMW, Lamborghini, Ford, GM, Suzuki, TPCA, Renault, Nissan. During this time I was working as the Leader of Customer Quality Engineers, Plant Quality Manager, Group Quality Manager responsible for 5 production plants. At this time I had the opportunity to implement operational improvements, integration of quality tools in day to day business, in suppliers’ development and weakness analyses for manufacturing processes according to automotive standards, build "green field" plant, solved crisis plant situation and also transfer production. Since then, I have been driving projects in Czech Republic, Germany, France, Romania, England, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Italy, Hungary, Poland, China, Malaysia, USA, Mexico In 2015 I started to work as senior consultant in projects related with Supplier Management in pre-serial and serial phases. Solving of critical quality and capacity situation. High focus to implementation and performance of Problem Solving Methods. On this journey, I have developed knowledge about manufacturing processes for: OEM assembly production technologies, Metal plates Stamping and Welding, Molding/Welding/Assembly Plastic Parts, Wood and Leather Steering Wheels, Leather Interior Parts, Leather and Textile Seat Covers and Seat assembly.
