Background
About Tomas Kulich
Lead Technical Artist & XR Engineer with a focus on real-time technologies, VR/MR development, tool creation, and production pipeline design. My profile combines a strong artistic foundation with technical and programming expertise (Unity C#, Blender Python, GDScript), and I have long operated at the intersection of graphics, tools, and application development. I began my career in 3D graphics and architectural visualization, including interactive projects in UE4. I later worked at SCS Software, where I gradually progressed from a 3D Generalist role to technical and visual supervision of assets produced by external studios for ATS projects. I was responsible for quality control, workflow optimization, training junior artists, and communication with external partners. In the final phase, I worked as an Asset Supervisor on the California reskin. In 2022, I joined IXPERTA, where, as the sole 3D/Technical Artist, I carried full responsibility for the visual and technical aspects of an autonomous train simulator project. I designed the complete asset pipeline, created parametric scenes using Blender Geometry Nodes, and developed a custom Blender Python add-on (iX-Rails) for efficient creation and management of training data. From 2023, I worked at Virtuplex as a Senior 3D Designer, focusing on real-time graphics, VR applications, pipeline optimization, and tool development. At the same time, during 2023–2024, I participated in the development of the VR project Rager as a member of a small core team. I focused on 3D graphics, optimization, particle systems, prototyping, and trailer creation, which became part of a successful Oculus Ignition Grant application. I left the project at an early stage of development for personal reasons, before final production and release. Since November 2025, I have been working at Lifeliqe as a Lead Technical Artist & XR Engineer. I am involved in workflow design and implementation, the technical direction of XR applications, and coordination across teams. My main focus is the K12 educational platform (Corinth product), while also contributing to the development of other XR applications and the long-term evolution of the production pipeline. I have long specialized in VR/MR optimization, real-time rendering, tool creation, pipeline design, and bridging the artistic and technical worlds.
