About Tomislav Milekovic

I am driven by the desire to develop medical therapies that exploit our understanding of the human brain to restore the functions lost to disability. I pursued this agenda by working in world-leading research labs with access to cutting-edge techniques. There, I conceived, developed and validated concepts of medical therapies that utilize brain activity to directly control computers and spinal cord stimulators to alleviate patients’ motor disability. To fully test and advance my therapy designs, I have organized international collaborations between researchers, engineers, clinicians, regulatory experts and industry partners; and sponsored and led a human clinical trial in Switzerland. Through these experiences, I acquired all the skills needed to conceive, develop, engineer and validate medical interventions.
