I am an internationally experienced MSL / Chief Officer with extensive knowledge and practical experience of vessel management, ship-handling, dynamic positioning, risk management, and bridge resource management. I have a proven track record leading marine operations for the successful delivery of marine projects. A collaborative Senior Officer, I pay meticulous attention to detail, and am able to interpret and adhere to regulatory requirements and adapt to changing situations swiftly in order to protect crew, vessel and commercial activities. A strong change facilitator, I have regularly championed new technologies/methodologies to improve efficiency/productivity. I implemented Dynamic DP Watch Circle methodology to reduce downtime caused by extreme weather during drilling operations West of the Shetland Islands, UK, and successfully implemented and embedded a new Planned Maintenance System, including training/mentoring of crew and the provision of feedback to shore-base, suggesting improvements. I am a practical, hands-on mariner who rises to any and all challenges, going above and beyond to ensure that tasks and projects are safely and successfully completed to a high standard.
