About Tommy Knott

My primary role with the Power Team is designing electrical distribution networks. I meet with existing and prospective customers to assess their needs and develop solutions to provide power to homes and businesses within the City. These projects range in size and complexity from overhead services for single family homes to large underground networks for multi-building apartment campuses requiring coordination with other providers such as AEP. Design considerations include not only electrical service, but also constructability and structural capacity requiring the use of modeling software such as O-Calc Pro Pole Loading Analysis and AutoCAD. Prior to joining the power group, I have held a variety of responsibilities working in the Geotechnical, Construction, and Telecommunications Departments conducting structural and geotechnical analyses, as well as construction administration and observation. My experience across a variety of roles and fields has given me great perspective to see projects as a whole and consider and communicate with teams across multiple disciplines and backgrounds.
