Passionate about advancing the understanding and accessibility of psychedelic-assisted therapies, I am a Physician Assistant and Marine Corps Veteran with a deeply personal journey that has shaped my professional trajectory. Following my own transformative experiences with psychedelics, I recognized the profound potential of these therapies in healing and decided to commit myself to this field. I proudly serve as an Ambassador for the Heroic Hearts Project, where I am deeply involved in documenting the stories of veterans finding healing through psychedelic therapies. My journey into psychedelic-assisted therapies was catalyzed by a realization during my time in orthopedics that the prevailing healthcare model often prioritizes quick fixes over addressing root causes and holistic well-being. This misalignment with my values prompted me to seek avenues where I could truly empower individuals to heal themselves within a safe and supportive environment. My diverse background, encompassing military service and experience as an EMT first responder, has reinforced my dedication to serving those struggling with mental health conditions. It has also underscored the importance of addressing behavioral health as a cornerstone of overall well-being. Through training in ketamine psychedelic-assisted therapy and embracing a practice philosophy centered on the intrinsic wisdom and healing capacity within each individual, I am committed to treating patients holistically and addressing the root causes of their issues. In conventional medicine, I often felt limited by a system that focused on symptom management rather than true healing. Now, armed with the tools and insights gained from my own healing journey, I am driven to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others by leveraging the transformative potential of psychedelic medicine.
