I’m a transformational senior leader with a career spanning the Royal Navy, government, and the NHS. I excel at leading challenging projects with creative problem-solving and inclusive teamwork, and I’m a visible, people-focused leader who keeps everyone on board through change. I’ve been entrusted with major initiatives and fast-tracked into senior roles, reflecting a track record of delivering results. Optimistic and tenacious, I believe we can always do better and constantly seek innovative solutions that make a real difference. In my current role as Senior Strategic Procurement Manager at University Hospitals of North Midlands, I lead large-scale commercial programmes across pharmacy, clinical services, and technology. I advise on complex, multi-million-pound contracts, ensuring our strategy aligns with healthcare reforms. Recently I renegotiated contracts to secure £5M+ in savings while spearheading projects like advanced medication robotics and AI-driven procurement platforms to modernise our supply chain. Earlier, as Divisional Director of Operations for Medicine & Urgent Care, I oversaw 3,500 staff across acute and urgent care services during the NHS’s most challenging times. I guided teams through pandemic recovery, winter crises, and significant service improvements. I opened a new Frailty Unit, introduced seven-day services, and streamlined discharge processes – all while managing large budgets and maintaining high-quality care. I began my career as a Royal Navy Logistics Officer, rising to Lieutenant Commander and honing discipline, adaptability, and mission-focused leadership. I led global logistics operations and humanitarian missions, and as Chief of Staff for Navy Digital I steered a £450M digital transformation in partnership with industry leaders like Microsoft. I also introduced AI tools into military supply chains, saving £5M in costs. I hold an Executive MBA from Cranfield, as well as degrees in Law and International Relations. I’m a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) and have training in project management and logistics. This broad education gives me a strategic outlook and the tools to navigate complex environments. What drives me is not just achieving system change but empowering the people behind it – be it patients, customers, or team members. Having delivered innovation and impact in public service, I’m eager to explore new challenges in the private sector.
