About Tomoo Yoda

Toyo Engineering Corporation, Synergy Research Corporation, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Translation of English Texts on Software Development Methods. I take it as my mission in life to share with the world methods that can lower the cost of creating high quality software. It is my belief that information technology (IT) can make a great contribution to improving the quality of people's lives and making this a better world, and I regard the expedited supply of software IT solutions as a calling of great significance. I hold an abiding interest in systems engineering and feel especially drawn to a field that involves the development of social models and the analysis of such models from an engineering perspective. In pursuit of these interests, I elected at the undergraduate and graduate school levels to study control theory and its application in the modeling of economic systems. Upon finishing my graduate studies, I joined Toyo Engineering Corporation, a major Japanese engineering, procurement and construction company, and worked primarily in software analysis, design and development. The engineering technologies as well as the project management methods I learned and experienced in those days have become a chief asset and have stood me well over the years in my subsequent career as an independent software development consultant. From the start, Synergy Research Corporation has been in the business of utilizing object oriented technology and software modeling techniques to develop truly unique, advanced information systems with unsurpassed flexibility and extensibility for leading Japanese companies in a variety of industries, under various types of contracts. I will also note that, while running my own business, I concurrently served for several years as an advisor to the Japan Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, offering my expertise on how best to ensure transparency and fairness in the awarding of IT contracts.
