About Tomy Ncube

I am a Researcher interested in climate change, social policy, and SDGs research areas. Deriving from a multidisciplinary orientation, I endeavor to connect knowledge from the disaster management field with that of international development while utilizing a political science lens to seek empirical solutions to social problems. I have five years of work experience in social protection programming (provision of scholarships to orphaned and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe, strengthening household food security, capacitating communities for food security and livelihood resilience), disaster/emergency response programming (COVID-19, floods, drought), and 6 years of independent research. I also have programmatic knowledge in implementing education interventions aimed at improving and increasing access to education. In addition, I possess evident knowledge of mainstreaming gender in community projects. As an emerging researcher, I have proven capability in scientific writing, and have led and collaborated on a number of scientific publications, published in reputable Q1 outlets.
