About Ton Stam

After graduating from the Technical University in 1983, I spent the first 15 years of my career working in the Oil Industry for Shell Companies in Oman (5 yrs), Brunei (4 yrs), Gabon (4yrs) and Nigeria (2 yrs). I worked in different, mostly technical, functions, living permanently in these areas with my family. In I moved back to the Netherlands and joined Solvay Pharmaceuticals in Weesp (NL). Started as Engineering & Maintenance manager. In 2003 I became plantmanager Weesp responsible for 5 factories producing active pharmaceutical ingredients for pharmaceutical products. In 2007 I became responsible for the global production of infuenza vaccines which include two factories in Weesp and one pharmaceutical finished products plant in Olst. In total ca. 350 employees are working in the influenza manufacturing business. In 2010 moved to the position of General Manager of Abbott Healthcare products BV fully responsible for the site Weesp. In 2016 I moved to Dubai for Abbott Laboratories S.A. as Director Operations and Supply Chain responsible for the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan Region. From February 2018 onwards I am responsible for Operations and Supply chain in the Emerging markets (Middle East, Africa, Pakistan, Turkey/CIS, Asia Pacific and Russia) based in Basel, Switzerland. Currently back in the Netherlands looking for new opportunities
