Background
About Toni Joly
I’m a dedicated Child and Youth Care professional passionate about creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments for children and youth. With hands-on experience at Evolving Youth Care and the Ottawa Catholic School Board, I support young individuals with diverse needs through trauma-informed approaches, classroom support, and behavioral guidance. My journey into youth care began after years in the culinary field, where I developed strong teamwork, time management, and leadership skills. This background enriches my current work, allowing me to bring creativity, structure, and empathy to every interaction. Currently, I serve as a Casual Educational Assistant and Classroom Supervisor at OCSB, while also supporting youth in group care settings. I’m known for building strong, supportive relationships with both youth and colleagues, advocating for emotional well-being, and maintaining detailed documentation with care and accuracy. I’m always learning and growing, with a particular interest in trauma-informed care, special needs education, and inclusive programming.
