Mechanical Engineer | Project Lead | Special Machinery & Custom Solutions | Forssan Levy Oy I am a mechanical engineering professional (B.Eng.+ M.Eng.) with over 15 years of experience in custom mechanical design and technical project management. I work at Forssan Levy Oy, where I design demanding special equipment solutions for industries such as pulp and paper, as well as shipbuilding. My work emphasizes practical problem-solving, a solid understanding of safety standards, and solution-oriented collaboration with various stakeholders. In recent years, I have played a key role in several window washing unit (Washing basket) design projects for cruise ships, including Mein Schiff 1, Mein Schiff 2, Mein Schiff 7, and most recently the world’s largest cruise ship, Star of the Seas. These projects have been technically challenging—requiring the creation of entirely new solutions and succeeding under tight schedules. It has been rewarding to see how well-designed equipment performs in demanding environments. My goal is to design and develop solutions that work in practice—reliably, safely, and with high quality.
