She came to DPS in October 1997 and has serve in various roles from Intensive Surveillance Officer to Probation/Parole Officer (with a specialization in Domestic Violence cases) to Judicial Unit Supervisor to her current position Chief Probation/Parole Officer. Ms. Tillery graduated from North Carolina Central University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. In 2014, she received a Master of Public Administration from Strayer University. Ms. Tillery completed the NC Department of Correction Office of Staff Development and Training Peak Performance Supervisory Training in 2010 and Frontline Leadership offered by the NC Office of State Personnel Learning and Development Group. Ms. Tillery retired June1, 2022 with 28 years of credible service with the State of NC.
