About Tony Archer

I have been in accountancy since 1985 when I first joined a Practice in Blackheath and have crunched numbers and counted beans since then! I have experience with small to medium sized owner managed businesses in helping manage their day to day affairs through advice and counsel and not just visiting them once a year. However I help clients with their annual compliance obligations such as accounts and tax returns too. I have learnt loads of stuff over the years (and am still learning!) but specialise in service charge accounts. Where there is a block of properties and leases involved to facilitate the management of communal areas through the payment of service charges and where there is a managing agent (but not always) thats where I come in. It has been a foggy minefield over the last few years in terms of how service charge accounts should be prepared but hopefully we can help clear the path and make it more understandable. I also help translate some of the IT terminology from our IT team to my senior colleagues as IT language can be baffling (as I am still finding out!). As you can see there is still lots of information to be learnt about business and that is part of the job I enjoy when meeting clients, listening to them talk about their business and learning what their strengths and weaknesses are and seeing where we can help.
