About Tony Arnold

Professor Tony Arnold is a nationally recognized expert in the environmental regulation of land use. He holds the Boehl Chair in Property and Land Use at the University of Louisville, where he teaches law and urban planning courses and chairs the interdisciplinary Center for Land Use and Environmental Responsibility. He has been a full-time teacher and scholar at 6 different universities since 1995, following several years of practicing public law at a large law firm in Texas and clerking for a federal appellate judge. He also has extensive public service, having served as a city attorney, the Chairman of the Anaheim Planning Commission, and a member of numerous community boards and task forces. Scholars and professionals have selected Professor Arnold's works as among the best published in environmental and land use law.
