About Tony Dati

With over 20 years of experience in the public works industry, I have dedicated my career to strengthening teams, building strong cultures, and elevating the profession that keeps our communities running every day.My mission is simple: to ensure that public works departments are recognized, promoted, and celebrated for the essential role they play. Too often, this work goes unnoticed—but it is the backbone of safe, thriving communities. I take pride in advocating for our people, our departments, and the value we bring. In addition to my public service career, I am also a small business owner. This has given me a deeper appreciation for leadership, accountability, and the importance of investing in people. I strongly believe in giving back, staying involved, and using my experience to make a positive impact—whether through volunteering, mentorship, or community engagement.I believe that when you invest in your team, everything else follows. I am passionate about developing future leaders, helping staff grow, and creating environments where people feel supported, motivated, and empowered to reach their goals. Leadership, to me, is not about position—it’s about impact.I strive to leave every team stronger than I found it.Organizations-Streets Superintendent, Village of NilesOwner of Jack and Jills Kids Salon, Park RidgePresident of the Niles Chamber of Commerce Past President - Illinois Arborist Association Vice President - Chicago Area Chloride Workgroup Community Relations Commission, NilesIllinois Arborist Association liaison to the Illinois Public Service Institute.
