About Tony Riches

I’m the General Manager for InterDynamics, a software company focused on Decision Support Systems for the logistics, transportation and resource industries. In this role I lead the company’s business development efforts and also oversee a team of experienced developers. We work on some amazing projects solving complex logistical challenges and helping our clients to better understand their business. As our solutions invariably involve the creation of an animated simulation model we take great pride in seeing our clients getting to visualise their operation on a screen and wanting to start playing with it straight away. I am also available for consultancy for any Rail Planning, Scheduling or Supply Chain projects where I can apply the Theory of Constraints to unlock additional throughput or reduce cost.Before joining InterDynamics I spent nine years in the Pilbara with BHP Billiton Iron Ore in several roles including Logistics, Operational Readiness, Engineering and Rail Operations. With seven of those years in leadership positions I was able to continually work on my ability to lead and develop people. I'm passionate about my work in every role I have had and always strive to make a difference to those I interact with. My current challenge is the development of an application that we expect to be well received by many logistics and supply chain professionals. I am also very passionate about Supply Chains and simulation modelling and welcome contact from anyone with similar interests or who is trying to solve a problem in that space.
