About Tony Toppi

I am a versatile musician with over 20 years of performance experience. As a pianist I have had experience as an accompanist, pit orchestra member, chamber musician and solo artist. My interest in working with singers has lead me to work with many theatre groups in Victoria as Musical Director. Since 2002 I have musically directed shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Anything Goes, My Fair Lady, Little Shop of Horrors, Into The Woods, Sweeney Todd, Aspects of Love and the 2014 Lyrebird Awards Ceremony. As a pianist I have worked on a number of shows as either rehearsal, audition or pit accompanist. These shows include Rob Guest Endowment, Fiddler on the Roof (TML Enterprises), The Consul (The Opera Studio), Show Boat (The Production Company), Showcase Concerts (Young Australian Broadway Chorus) and I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change (Standing Room Only Productions). I have also had experience in cabaret. I have worked with David Wisken (Patrick Studios) on 'Really!' and Alexandra Clover on 'What a Girl Wants'. Aside from performing I am a teacher of Music, Italian and Religious Education. I am currently Head of Keyboard at St. Leonard's College.
